Uniform
At Sandwich Infant School, we encourage all children to take pride in their appearance and to wear their school uniform with confidence. We believe that a school uniform helps children develop a sense of belonging, promotes equality and makes the morning routine simpler for families.
We are committed to keeping uniform affordable. There are no compulsory branded items, and all uniform can be purchased from a retailer of your choice. Optional school-branded items are available through our supplier, Price & Buckland, but plain alternatives are equally acceptable. We also offer a wide range of good-quality second-hand uniform from the school office for a suggested donation.

- Trainers/ Plimsolls
* Trainers and boots should not be worn. We ask that the children are able to manage their shoes independently, so lace up shoes are not suitable.
* All clothes must be clearly marked with your child's name.
* Jewellery is not permitted, although stud earrings can be worn if these can be removed by the child on P.E. days. Staff will not be able to assist with this and if earrings are not removed, your child will be unable to participate in PE lessons. If your child has earrings that cannot be removed, please ask the School Office for an earrings form.
All children in receipt of Pupil Premium support are entitled to receive a package of free uniform items each year, including sweatshirts, a PE T-shirt, a book bag and a water bottle.
We recognise that families may occasionally experience financial difficulties and are committed to working sensitively and supportively with parents and carers to ensure every child can access the correct uniform.
