Mathematics involves a great deal of mental, oral and practical activities before children are introduced to more formal work.  This ensures that children have a sound grasp of the concept of number.  Mathematics is taught under the following headings:  Number, Measurement and Geometry.

Parents can help children at home by counting, sorting and searching for shapes in the environment and by playing mathematical games.
